Twenty-two years of hard calls.
D-Sign is a technology leadership company. The job is judgment: helping founders and boards make the technology decisions that are expensive to get wrong.
I’m Dipankar Sinha. For most of my career I’ve sat on the inside, building products, running engineering, and being the person in the room when a technology decision could make or cost the business a lot of money. HDFC Life, Shoppers Stop, Vuclip, Hungama, Future Group, 24/7.ai. Different industries, the same underlying job.
What I learned over those years is that the hard part is rarely the building. Good engineers build. The hard part is the decision before it: what to build, what to buy, who to hire, which risks to take and which to avoid. Get those right and an ordinary team does great work. Get them wrong and even the best engineers spend a year going the wrong way.
That’s what D-Sign is for. Not another dev shop. Not a team you rent by the hour. It’s senior technology leadership you can bring in when you need it: for the founder who can’t yet justify a full-time CTO, and for the larger company that needs a few weeks of honest, outside help rather than a six-month project.
How I work
Plainly, and in writing. Every piece of work ends with something you can actually use: the decision, the reasons behind it, and how sure I am. No 80-slide decks. No jargon used to sound clever. If I’m not sure, I’ll say so. That’s worth more than fake confidence.
D-Sign is also building a few products of its own. When they’re ready, you’ll see them on the products page. Until then, the consulting is the business.
